Greg Greenway Greg Greenway is NOT a run-of-the-mill singer/songwriter. What sets him apart from the crowd is that his world is large and rich and his music is memorable: intelligent, passionate lyrics plus beautifully crafted and executed tunes.

Physically, his musical journey has taken him from Virginia and rock music to Boston and innovative acoustic folk. His themes are large, his politics are unabashedly progressive, and he expresses his outrage and joy at the personal level, the universe made intimate. He performs honestly, with forceful guitar and remarkable voice. He credits Richie Havens, James Taylor, and Peter Gabriel as early influences in the evolution of his own distinctive style. Greg doesn't work in isolation, regularly collaborating onstage and in recordings with the likes of Ani DiFranco, Joan Baez, Dar Williams, John Gorka, Greg Brown, Christine Lavin, and Bruce Cockburn.

In addition to heavy touring, Greg has been featured at Carnegie Hall, Mountain Stage, the Northeastern Folk Alliance, and Falcon Ridge. His recordings have garnered awards and praise. Christine Lavin calls Greg "one of the finest performers on the scene today... super great!" In Cambridge, where he is a familiar and formidable presence, he is introduced with the line "Fasten your seat belts!" To find out why, join the Cornell Folk Song Club and Acoustic Ithaca in welcoming Greg Greenway for a show you won't forget.
