12-Mar-2000 Stephan Smith
Stephan Smith is a young singer and songwriter who is obviously heavily influenced by one of the best of the old timers, Woody Guthrie himself. Stephan's songs have the simplicity, directness and topical immediacy that many of us remember from Woody in his prime. But he's no Woody Guthrie clone. His songs are his own in his own time.
05-Mar-2000 Mark Erelli

13-Feb-2000 Artisan
Artisan Artisan is an a cappella trio from Britain. Right there we have a couple of departures from the usual for Bound for Glory. The 1000th Live Bound For Glory Performance
With a lot of help from Paul Speicher, we have done the best job we can at figuring out who has appeared on Bound for Glory during the last 33 years. It is most likely that the 1000th live show is February 6, 2000.
06-Feb-2000 Small Potatoes
Small Potatoes Small Potatoes is a wonderful duo from Illinois, making a return visit to Bound for Glory, and by chance they are our 1000th live performer. This duo is highly eclectic. They are modern day folksingers, choosing the best music they have run across, and presenting it with great energy and musicianship. What a treat!!!
January 2000 30-Jan-2000 Whirligig
Whiligig Wow. When someone makes a short list of America's best neo-celtic bands, Whirligig is always near the top. Whirligig makes wonderful twists on tradition. Lead vocalist is Lisa Moscatiello, who has done Bound for Glory solo. Greg Anderson of the band has also appeared on Bound for Glory before. Save the date.
23-Jan-2000 Bill Staines
Bill Staines We start the year 2000 with Bill Staines, probably the most beloved of the Bound for Glory performers over the decades. 14-Nov-1999 Lui Collins and Dana Robinson
Alas, this may be the last ever performance for this delightful duo, both of whom have appeared on Bound for Glory separately. Both Lui and Dana are remarkable songwriters, with Dana, in particular, well immersed in the folk tradition. A special evening.
07-Nov-1999 James Gordon
Many will remember James Gordon as the lead musician in Tamarack. Now he's out on his own, with a new bunch of "Canadian Routes" Music in his inimitable style. James is a fine writer and performer who tells Canadian stories that we Americans can understand perfectly. A real treat.
October 1999 31-Oct-1999 Delaney Brothers Bluegrass
Bound for Glory is pleased to welcome one of the finest bluegrass bands in New York State. The Delaney Brothers have been playing bluegrass for decades, and they really know how. Fiddle and banjo, guitar, mandolin, and bass. Bluegrass the way it ought to be.
24-Oct-1999 Metropolitan Klezmer
We've been wanting to do a Klezmer band on Bound for Glory for some time, and it's finally worked out. This six piece band from New York City will bring us some exciting tunes, both lively and sad, from the ghettos of Eastern Europe, as modified in New York City by the Jazz Age.
17-Oct-1999 The Westerleys
The Westerleys come from California via Nashville. They are what country music could be if it would only dare. Good songs, and intense, driving instrumentals made even better, for this show, with the addition of Ithaca's own Dee Specker.

September 1999 26-Sep-1999 The Sillanpaa Family

19-Sep-1999 The Kennedys
If you list what's happening, and what's exciting, in the world of contemporary acoustic singer-songwriters, the Kennedys will be at the top of your list. Pete and Maura Kennedy have delighted Bound for Glory audiences twice before, with their songs, stories, and guitar wizardry. Welcome them back.
12-Sep-1999 Eddy Lawrence
Eddy Lawrence Eddy Lawrence comes down from the north country with a wry good humor and mighty hot flatpicking. Nobody else has a similar view of the world, but we're glad Eddy does. One of the most requested performers ever to do Bound for Glory.
05-Sep-1999 Four Shillings Short
Four Shillings Short One's from Ireland, one's from California. Their music is a delight, their performance style unexpected, and their instrumentation is a kick. Only Four Shillings Short will play a set of jigs or reels with sitar accompaniment. Music from Ireland, Scotland, and America. Their third Bound for Glory visit.
